My work deals with emotional themes centered around trauma, and our reactions to it. Keeping my art within a monochromatic palette has allowed me to keep the focus on the emotional impact of the work. Through techniques in mark making, scale, and symbolism, I have found my work to be well received in the way that the audience responds to the pieces, provoking a powerful emotional reaction in the viewer.
