Rossana Taormina was born in Partanna, a small town of Valle del Belice in Sicily, a few years after the earthquake of 1968. The lost landscape of her childhood and the days spent watching her grandmother's embroidery have had a great impact on her artistic sensibility.

She is an artist who works mainly with old and found materials such photos, maps, magazines, broken objects 

Her works narrate lost identities and memories, inventing imaginary places.

Rossana Taormina lives and works in Palermo, Sicily
